Why your children should practice at home
Help them reach their potential
Here at Coerver, we firmly believe that practice makes perfect. Most teams only train once or twice each week, but that isn’t enough for most players to reach their true potential – you need to practice away from the training ground.
We have spent a lot of time studying the science of learning, and one of the key aspects of learning is repetition – practicing the same skill many times will help you do it better and faster.
Many of football’s greatest stars are famous for exactly this – Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will practice free kicks, penalties, and other skills after all the other players have left the training ground. Alan Shearer famously used to stay after training until he had scored 100 goals, and it helped him become the Premier League’s record goalscorer.
That’s why we created the Coerver Players Club – a collection of exercises for young players to practice at home every day, so that they improve their skills away from the training ground and can become the stars of tomorrow. See one of our challenge videos below!
